This painting from the “Dynamic Impulse” series shows an abstract composition in intense shades of phtaloblue, white and pink. The energetic application of paint is intended to convey a sense of dynamism and movement. Inspired by the vibrant cities of Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok and Seoul, I wanted to capture the speed and intensity of the many impressions that passed by like a living stream. At the same time, the painting reflects my deep fascination for the sea. The round frame was deliberately chosen to create the impression of looking out through the window of a ship onto the untamed, raging sea. Like the sea with its waves and currents, city life stands for constant movement, energy and change
